What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open protocol that standardizes how AI assistants connect to external tools and data sources. Anthropic introduced it in November 2024, and major AI providers including OpenAI and Google now support it.

How does authentication work?

Every FlowGuideAI MCP connection requires OAuth 2.0 authentication with your FlowGuideAI account. When you add the connector, you'll be redirected to FlowGuideAI to sign in and authorize access. Your AI assistant never receives your password — only a secure token that can be revoked at any time.

Is my data private?

Yes. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. All infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare (CCPA, GDPR compliant). FlowGuideAI does not train our models on your content — your documents and evidence are stored in FlowGuideAI's infrastructure and are never used to train FlowGuideAI's AI capabilities or any AI model owned or operated by FlowGuideAI. Only the AI assistant you authorize can access your workspace data.

Can I use FlowGuideAI on the free tier?

Yes. The free tier includes 15 pages/month, read access to workspaces and documents, AI Prompt category templates, and document search. To save AI-drafted documents, you need Lite ($10/mo) or higher.

What's the difference between Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini connectors?

The core capabilities are identical — same 11 tools and same tier-gating. Claude offers native MCP support across web, desktop, and mobile. ChatGPT requires Developer Mode on Pro/Plus/Business/Enterprise/Edu web plans. Gemini support is coming once Google releases OAuth in Agent Builder.

Does FlowGuideAI certify my documents for compliance audits?

No. FlowGuideAI provides drafting assistance, evidence management, and version control. FlowGuideAI does NOT certify, attest to, or validate that any document is audit-ready. All content requires independent review by qualified professionals before audit submission.

What happens to my content if I downgrade or cancel?

Account data and document content are retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data and document content are deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention purposes. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify individuals.
